These are the terms for using Outbound OS and the Ascent website. Using either means you're good with them. They're short on purpose — read them.
What Outbound OS is
Outbound OS is a free pipeline tool: you bring your own leads, it keeps you honest about the daily work — requests, reachouts, replies, deals. Using the live app requires a free account, and your data syncs to your account so it follows you across devices. How that data is handled is in the privacy policy, which is part of this deal.
Your data is yours
The leads you import, the notes you write, the numbers you rack up — all yours. We store and process them only to run the product for you. You can download everything as one file from Backup in the app menu, whenever you like, and you can have your account and its data deleted by emailing jamil@getascent.co.
What's on you
- Only import lead data you have the right to use. Where it came from and whether you're allowed to hold it is your call and your responsibility.
- How you contact people is on you too. Outbound OS tracks the work; the messages go out from your own accounts. Follow the rules of the platforms you use and the laws about contacting people where you and they live.
- Keep your password to yourself and tell us if you think someone's in your account.
- Use the product like a normal human. Scraping the service, hammering it with scripts, or trying to get at other people's data ends the deal on the spot.
Claude drafts are drafts
The Claude features write suggestions in your voice — openers, replies, coaching. They are a starting point, written by a model, and you are the one pressing send. Read every draft before it goes anywhere. What you send, you own.
What we promise — and don't
Outbound OS is free, and it's provided as-is. We work to keep it fast, honest, and available, and Backup means your data is never hostage to our uptime. But we can't promise it will always be up, always be perfect, or exist forever in its current form — features may change, and we may retire or pause parts of the service. If something big changes, account holders hear about it by email first.
Since the product is free, our liability to you is capped at what you paid us for it: nothing. That's not attitude, it's just how a free tool works. What we owe you regardless: your data back (Backup, any time) and honest notice about changes.
Accounts we'll close
We can suspend or close accounts that break these terms — abusive use, scraping, harming other users or the service. If your account is closed for a breach, we'll still give you a reasonable window to get your data out unless the breach itself makes that unsafe.
Ascent services
Consulting and outbound engagements with Ascent — audits, retainers, the work done for clients — are scoped and agreed per engagement, in writing, separately from these terms. These terms cover the free product and the website.
If these terms change
We'll update this page and the date at the top. Meaningful changes get emailed to account holders before they take effect. Keep using the service after that, and the new terms apply.
